Agri-footprint

Agri-footprint is a Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) database comprised of secondary data covering more than 4,800 datasets from 63+ countries, representing the global food market. It primarly covers agricultural commodity production, processing, and market mixes of relevant products. Key industries covered: Feed, including amino acids, vitamins, minerals, Food, including ingredients relevant for food producers, and Biomaterials, including biofuels, palm oil, straw etc. The database is widely used and implemented by the agri-food industry, LCA community, scientific community, and governments worldwide.


Agri-footprint FLAG

The latest version of the Agri-footprint Databases is fully aligned with the SBTi Forest Land Agriculture (FLAG) Guidelines, enabling you to conduct GHG inventory analysis and FLAG target setting.

LUC Impact dataset

The LUC Impact dataset provides LUC greenhouse emissions for 9,000+ crop-country combinations, including emission results calculated using both linear and equal amortization in compliance with footprinting standards such as PAS2050-1 and SBTi FLAG.

Automated CO2-footprint calculations for Albert Heijn

For Albert Heijn, a Dutch retailer, we utilize various Environmental Footprinting Modules to support them with largescale data collection among 600+ farmers globally, and consistent product footprint calculations of specific fruit and vegetable products. Eventually, the insights, gathered within this project, will empower Albert Heijn to set up meaningful emission reduction programs, improve their supply chain, and contribute to a more sustainable society.

Growing Media Europe LCA platform

In 2019 Blonk started a project for Growing Media Europe (GME), the European association of growing media producers, to set up a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) platform, making it easy and accessible for their members and any other stakeholder to measure and improve the environmental footprint of growing media products.

The GME LCA platform is an online tool that brings together the Growing Media Environmental Footprint Guidelines (GMEF guidelines) and an LCA database.

LUC Impact

Deforestation is one of the biggest issues facing the global agriculture production system and a big contributor to climate change worldwide. 

Within Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies it is often a requirement to report the emissions emerging from Land Use Change (LUC) separately. This can become rather complex because data availability is limited.
