May we present.. our new colleagues

New colleagues: Blonk Consultants welcomes Rishi and Caroline

Blonk Consultants recently welcomed two new colleagues. We are very happy that Rishi Sukul and Caroline te Pas have joined our team. Rishi works as a software developer and Caroline strengthens our team as a consultant.

They introduce themselves to you below.

Rishi Sukul

Softewareontwikkelaar

"Before joining Blonk Consultants I worked for MSF (Doctors Without Borders), the last two years as a logistics manager dealing with cholera in Ethiopia and Yemen and with the aftermath of multiple catastrophes in Sierra Leone. Before that I was a business intelligence consultant, project manager and software developer. Having lived in five countries and travelled extensively, my concern for our world and its inhabitants has only grown, and I appreciate any steps that are being taken to contribute to sustainability and social wellbeing.

My position at Blonk Consultants embodies multiple qualities I cherish: making use of new IT technologies, being socially relevant, working with smart and committed people, and dealing with products people care about, such as food.

Besides my interest in IT, data science and machine learning, I like to read and I enjoy sport. I have a deep interest in world affairs, nature and the humanities. I am a bit of a foodie and love my mashed potatoes very spicy!"

Caroline te Pas

Consultant

"Having a keen interest in environmental and sustainability issues, I studied Soil Science at Wageningen University, followed by Environment & Development at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on topics such as land degradation, sustainable agriculture and food security. For the last five and a half years I worked for SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, where I was concerned mainly with strengthening climate change adaptation and resilience of smallholder farmers in various African countries. Among the projects I worked on was an evidence-based advocacy project to develop the capacity of civil society organisations to underpin their advocacy work with research. I also developed and implemented a tool for assessing and reducing climate risks in value chains..

At Blonk Consultants I am eager to learn more about sustainability analyses in the agri-food sector and contribute to solutions that positively influence both the sustainability and health impacts of food systems.

In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking or running, and going to concerts."
